The caffeine in coffee is able to improve memory
Good news for you who have a habit of drinking coffee in the morning or every day. Recent studies reveal that the caffeine in coffee could not only raise awareness, but also helps improve a person's memory.

Researchers from Johns Hopkins University studied the effects of caffeine on the person's ability to remember. As a result, they found that caffeine can enhance a person's ability to remember to a span of 24 hours after the drink.

"Our study found that caffeine delivers these effects in humans. Caffeine makes the process of considering a more permanent and hard oblivion, "said Chief researcher Michael Yassa from University of California, as offered by Health Day News (12/01).

The results of this research were found after surveying more than 100 participants that is not accustomed to drink coffee, tea, or soda. In other words they are not accustomed to drinking caffeine. Researchers found that at least the required 200 milligrams of caffeine to get the memory effect is increased.

For the current study participants were asked to look at hundreds of pictures that they can encounter on a daily basis. Next they are consuming 200 milligrams of caffeine, while in part prompted the placebo drink. Participants who consumed caffeine is known to be able to remember and distinguish the image which looks similar to the original image.

But the researchers explained that this effect is not found when the participant is given a small dose of caffeine, or if caffeine was given one hour before they do the test. Even so, researchers are not yet sure whether the staggering effects of caffeine it can help people who are having problems in terms of memory, such as people affected by Alzheimer 's.
